Co-President - Bryan Valdés (he/him/él)
Bryan is a Sophomore in Ezra Stiles College majoring in Economics and History. Although he is Cuban and Puerto Rican, he has lived in the Washington Metropolitan Area his entire life. He joined Sube in the fall of 2020 on a friend’s recommendation and became increasingly involved as he continued to meet other members. In addition, Bryan also hoped to connect with other Latinx students that shared his interest in the intersection of financial markets and global events.
To investigate his interest in finance, he has worked as an investment analyst intern for the Warfield Companies, a mixed-use real estate development company in Rockville, MD. Within the organization, his roles involved creating financial models to test the feasibility of mixed-use real estate ventures, assisting in the application for federal and state historic tax credits, and developing project financing strategies. Furthermore, Bryan is a 2022 sophomore investment banking summer analyst intern at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Apart from serving as one of the Co-presidents of Sube, Bryan spends his spare time playing various sports with friends (tennis, golf, and squash), debating in the Yale Political Union, and reading about political economy and history.
