Finance Track Mentor - Sofia Islas (She/Her/Ella)

Sofia is a sophomore in Branford majoring in The History of Art. Outside of class, Sofia works as an Art Historian for movie production company Broken English Productions and has an ongoing externship learning real estate financing, both affordable and market rate, with Logan Capital Advisors. Aside from this, she is also the director of recruitment for TAMID group (a non-profit organization that develops the professional skills of undergrad students through hands-on interaction with the Israeli economy via finance and consulting projects) and is a group leader in the investment fund. Sofia is a current member of SUBE the Latinx business and leadership club and a Success Intern for Sponsors for Educational Opportunities, learning finance technicals and career preparation. She is also an associate and co-founder of Yale’s Scholars of Finance chapter. This upcoming summer Sofia will be working for the hedge fund Select Equity, helping perform research to manage their portfolio. Her favorite things to do include oil painting, spending time with the people she loves, finding new music to listen to, and playing golf.
