Co-Vice President of Professional Development - Erick Lopez (he/him/él)

Erick Lopez comes from the proud city of Santa Ana, California. He is currently a sophomore in Silliman double majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience and Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology. Erick plans to pursue medical school after graduation on a path to become a psychiatrist that serves underrepresented minorities that lack adequate access to mental health services.

Apart from his role as VP of Professional Development, Erick works as a research assistant in a biology, neuroscience, and psychiatry lab and volunteers at a local clinic that provides free basic healthcare to New and Fair Haven’s uninsured, low-income, and oftentimes Spanish-speaking population. Erick is also a Wu Tsai Fellow, a second-year liaison for MEChA, a class council representative, and Peer Liaison for the Student Accommodation Services Office.

Alongside this year’s incredibly passionate, motivated board, Erick looks forward to connecting Yale’s diverse Latine pre-professionals with academic and career opportunities.
